Miami Live Police Scanner
One of the network’s newest pages, covering a top-five US market.
Miami Live Police Scanner covers Miami-Dade County, including Miami Police Department and Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office activity. It is among the most recently launched pages in the network and is still building its audience.
Miami-Dade County takes in the city of Miami plus Miami Beach, Hialeah, Coral Gables, Homestead and a long list of other municipalities, each with its own police department. Coverage names the specific city, because an incident in Hialeah has nothing to do with someone in Homestead.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office covers the county, Miami Police cover the city proper, and Florida Highway Patrol works the state roads. Traffic coverage follows I-95, the Palmetto Expressway, the Dolphin Expressway and the causeways to the beaches.
Hurricane season is a major recurring story in this market, with evacuations, closures and post-storm response coverage. Miami-Dade court records provide charging and outcome information.
Coverage is published on Facebook, where the page posts throughout the day as incidents develop. Every post is checked against an official source before it goes up — an agency release, a court record, or confirmed reporting from a named outlet. When a detail cannot be verified, it does not run.

What gets published
Active incidents as they develop, major crashes and road closures, missing-person alerts from official clearinghouses, fire and EMS responses, arrests and charging decisions, and court outcomes once they are on the record. Follow-ups matter as much as the original post — when a case resolves differently than it first appeared, that correction runs too.
What does not get published: unverified scanner chatter, names of people who have not been charged, addresses of private individuals, or anything that would interfere with an active response.
